The first official plugin from Rhodes has been launched
Leeds, UK, March 7, 2023 — After the close of Rhodes’ ‘Missing Keys’ competition and the initial 45-day trial period, the full versions of the Rhodes V8 (bottom left) and V8 Pro (right) are now available for sale. This marks the final release of the first official Rhodes software instruments, which have been upgraded with new user interfaces and additional features.
Both instruments use a mixture of sampling and hyper-realistic modelling, drawing from a pool of 30,000 top-quality samples and complex behavioural emulation to achieve the acclaimed sound of the MK8 electric piano in your DAW.
The Missing Keys competition is now closed to new entries, and the winners, as judged by James Blake and James Smith, will be announced on 23 March during a Plugin Boutique livestream starting at 7pm (GMT) / 11am (PST).
The V8 and V8 Pro are available now in VST, AU and AAX formats. There is an introductory discount of 20% off the price of the V8 Pro, (usually £249.95, currently £199.95) The V8 is priced at £149.95.
New Presets and Profiles
This full launch also sees additional artist presets and profiles added to the V8 Pro. These come courtesy of an array of artists and producer luminaries, including Bill Laurance (Snarky Puppy), Andrew Huang, Steve Levine (Culture Club / Beach Boys), Sanjay C and Doctor Mix.
